Garden Enclosure Design

We have cleared the prior owner’s garden, which is a nice, large raised area where he’d brought in dirt. Deer are a problem for gardening in our area, so we need an enclosure that will keep them out.

With the area cleared and tilled, we re-measured and found that with the addition of a few buckets of dirt, we have an area that can accommodate a 32′ x 40′ enclosure. Here’s the design:

James’ brother-in-law was kind enough to offer us some 6″ poles from a hop field that had collapsed a few years ago in Salem. We cut them to 13′ lengths and brought them back to Mulino.
